Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre

Shira Danan has been studying improv and sketch at UCB since the summer of 2007. She writes emails on behalf of a cartoon character by day, and is a contributing writer to the Onion, Someecards.com, and Gelf Magazine by night. She performs improv around town with indie team Maybe Sherman, which claims to be straight out of Baltimore, but isn't. Shira has written and performed sketch comedy with Foxstamp Murphy, and was a founding member and director of Columbia University's only sketch comedy group, Chowdah. Lately, she can be seen in Ghost Toast [ghosttoast.net], a ten-part web series (if you count the 7th episode) written by herself and Jake Rake.
