Mark Sarian
Mark Sarian hails from Philadelphia, where he first learned how to be bitterly disappointed in all things sports related. He has been performing stand-up, sketch and improv comedy in New York City since 1998. From 1995 to 1996, Mark served as Mr. Baltimore, appearing in television and radio commercials promoting tourism for downtown Baltimore. He was an advertising copywriter for seven years before becoming a writer/performer full time. He has appeared in several national and local television commercials for Slim-Fast, Imagistics, Wendy's, Blockbuster, East Side Mario's, Citizen's Bank and Avis, and has produced and performed in two improv shows at the UCB, 'The Millers' and 'Action 5 News,' Both performing at improv festivals around the country. He fondly recalls when he was once part of two UCB Harold Teams, 'Suppertime' and 'Beautiful Cop.' His two-man sketch group, 'Mark & Ari' (Ari Voukydis) garnered several national comedy festival appearances (SF Sketchfest, LA Comedy Festival) and also had a short film they wrote, shot and directed by John Landis (Animal House) for JibJab.com. Mark can also be seen in the film, "One Last Thing..." and a recently finished a short film, "The Tombs" which is currently on tour at film festivals across the country.
