Jon Gutierrez
Jon Gutierrez is a writer and performer living in New York City.
He currently writes for Fuse Television and Marvel Comic’s webseries Marvel Superheroes: What The?! (which is where you can hear him as the oddly shrill voice of Dr. Strange.) He's contributed to Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, McSweeney's Internet Tendency and The Huffington Post's Comedy Section.
Outside of TV, he’s written for a number of nerd-humor sites, including SciFi’s Blastr, Uproxx’s Gamma Squad and the Village Voice’s Topless Robot. For six years, he was an editor for the toy humor magazine ToyFare and co-wrote and storyboarded the comic strip Twisted ToyFare Theatre.
He’s been studying and performing at the UCB theater since 2003. He’s written and performed on various house Harold, Maude and Beta teams and a ton of other shows, including The Iron Sheikh, Hot Lather: As The Diamond Burns and Over The Top Live: A Call To Arms.
