Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre has affordable, comedy shows seven nights a week in NYC and LA. Watch the best improv, sketch and standup in the country. Our original comedy video productions have garnered the national spotlight. We also run the first nationally accredited improv and sketch comedy school in the country. Sue Smith
Sue Smith is a comedic actor, writer, and standup. Her solo character show, Minimum Rage, ran at the UCB on both coasts, was a Time Out Critic's Pick and was profiled in the New York Daily News.
Her writing has appeared in amNew York, The New York Post, Brokelyn, and VICE. TV credits include Delocated, Girls, The Good Wife, and The Beautiful Life. Her web series, Brokelandia, was featured in the New York Times and on Gothamist.
STRAIGHT UP: The UCB has been Sue's home since 2007. Fave teachers include Delaney, Bobby Moynihan, Neil Casey and Chelsea Clarke. Shout out to her indie improv team, HMS Quarterly!!!!
Sue hosts two shows every week at the UCBeast: BYOT on Monday nights at 9:30 and Open Michelle on Thursdays at 6.
