"Greg Barris is a really energetic and creative thinker, definitely a comedian who is not bound by convention and the kind of person who creative types tend to flock around. His Heart of Darkness shows recently sold out a 17 month residency at Union Hall. Though there are no shortage of comedy variety shows now in NYC, this one is very different and has some really cool elements which includes a live psych-rock band called The Forgiveness which plays every show, plus guest comedians, and always one special guest ' Mind Warrior' who is a specialist in some genre of science. BrooklynVegan calls the show "NYC's most awe-inspiring comedy/variety/brainz shows." Greg also curated and hosted two Guggenheim shows in the fall."
