Kumail Nanjiani: Unpronounceable

"Unpronounceable" is a very personal, eye-opening and hilarious recounting of Kumail Nanjiani's life growing up in Pakistan.

Born to very religious parents and immersed in the culture of that religion, Kumail was none-the-less being groomed to move to America for the greater opportunity and safer life it afforded.

Once finally in that most exotic of all American college locations - IOWA - Kumail began to question his beliefs about America, culture and most of all religion.

Kumail explores the "losing of his religion" as well as all the things he gained during his transformation.

The show's debut run at the Lakeshore Theatre in Chicago was directed by Paul Provenza.
