Scot Armstrong

Scot Armstrong is originally from Chicago, where he studied improvisational comedy under Del Close at the Improv Olympic. Scot has performed in many UCB shows, including MOTHER, FEATURE FEATURE, COMMENTARY TRACK and ASSSSCAT. For the stage, he directed THE NAKED BABIES and SECRET SLUT which won a trip to the Aspen comedy festival. As a screenwriter, Armstrong co-wrote OLD SCHOOL, STARSKY & HUTCH and ROAD TRIP with Todd Phillips. He also did uncredited work on ELF and BAD SANTA. His new film, SCHOOL FOR SCOUNDRELS opens in September ‘06. He has two other movies slated for production this year: HEARTBREAK KID written for Ben Stiller and SEMI-PRO written for Will Ferrell. Armstrong’s production company, American Work Inc., is also producing films with Radar pictures, New Line Cinema, Paramount Pictures, Dreamworks and Warner Brothers. He lives with his wife Kerry and his dogs Dewie and Louise in the East Village.
