Steven can regularly be seen performing around the city with the monoscene group DEATH LEAGUE TEA PARTY, whose show ONE LUMP OR TWO? amazed audiences and reviewers at the New York Frigid Fest. He also performs regularly with BIG TOBACCO (winners of the UCB's 2006 Indie Team Cagematch). Along with Big Tobacco and Bobby Moynihan he created TRUE HOLLYWOOD STORIES, an improvised show which turns an audience member's life into an episode of the television show with nearly the same name. He's also appeared in the UCB's ONE NIGHT STAND, and THE NIGHTS OF OUR LIVES (a Time Out NY critics pick).

He's trained under many of whom he considers to be the funniest people around- Jackie Clarke, Neil Casey, Armando Diaz, Chris Gethard, Curtis Gwinn, Rachel Hamilton, Billy Merritt, Bobby Moynihan, Charlie Todd, and Shannon O'Neil. He thanks these and others at the UCB for being so supportive.
