Chris Gethard

Chris Gethard is a teacher at the UCB Theater and a member of The Stepfathers, who perform every Friday night at the UCB theater. He also travels around the globe as a member of the UCB Theater Touring Company. Chris has appeared in dozens of UCBT shows, including the cult hit WPA Theater Project, with whom he appeared at the Chicago Improv Festival. In 2003, he traveled to the Aspen Comedy Festival as a dancer in Matt Walsh's Secret Slut.
Chris has appeared on Late Night With Conan O'Brien and the ABC sitcom Hope & Faith, on ESPN, and his picture has been featured in The Onion. He acted on and assisted the writing staff of the Comedy Central show Crossballs. In the world outside of comedy, Chris is a writer for Weird NJ magazine. In November of 2005, Weird NY, a hardcover book he is the sole author of, will be published by Barnes and Noble.
Chris is also obsessed with Japanese no-holds-barred fighting competitions and seminal early 80s pop group The Smiths.
