Nick DiPaolo & Friends
The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is pleased to welcome Nick DiPaolo & friends.
While the UCB head to Los Angeles for a month of shows, Nick DiPaolo presents an evening of stand-up comedy on Sunday Nights at 9:30pm.
About Nick DiPaolo: Born and raised in Boston, Nick DiPaolo began his stand-up comedy career doing one-nighters all over New England, before moving to New York. Once in the Big Apple, he quickly moved up the comedy ladder as a regular at Catch A Rising Star, where he would go on after comics like Jerry Seinfeld and Brett Butler. Butler would later give him one of his first big breaks in TV with a recurring role in her sitcom "Grace Under Fire."
During his years playing the clubs, Nick made three appearances on "The Arsenio Hall Show" and was selected for HBO's prestigious "Young Comedians Special" hosted by Dana Carvey. He later moved to L.A and appeared on numerous television shows including "Newsradio" and "Suddenly Susan." He also achieved his goal of performing on "The Tonight Show". This politically incorrect comic's second appearance on "The Tonight Show" was even seen by a politically correct figure who was a guest on the same show-former President Jimmy Carter.
Nick now lives in New York where he just completed his second season as a writer on the Emmy Award winning "Chris Rock Show" on HBO. He also continues to perform standup around the country, and this year made his first trip to Asia to perform in Hong Kong. His acting career is on the rise too, having appeared in the independent film "Tomorrow Night" which appeared at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival.
