I EAT PANDAS: We Classy
In just minutes, I Eat Pandas does what it takes Andrew Lloyd Webber YEARS to do: crap out a hit musical from start to finish.
I Eat Pandas improvises three entire musicals in under an hour — complete with dancing and melodrama — based on one audience suggestion. The remarkably quick-on-its-feet trio comprises two singers and a pianist, who can all belt out original, hilarious, and surprisingly catchy songs on the fly.
Since their first show 4 years ago at New York's Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre they have played all over the country. They are consistently listed as a comedy pick of the week in Time Out NY, who says "We like the way I Eat Pandas does it." Earlier this year they won "Best Improv Group" at the ECNY Awards. After three sold out shows at this year's Spoleto festival, the Charleston City Paper called I Eat Pandas, "Unbelievable."
And they eat pandas.*
*This part is a lie.
Starring Eliza Skinner, Glennis McMurray and Frank Spitznagel
