THE LONGEST SKETCH SHOW EVER! - Submissions Wanted

The UCB Theatre NY is proud to announce that it will be part of the 2007 NY Comedy Festival ( http://nycomedyfestival.com/). As part of our involvement, we are putting together "The Longest Sketch Show Ever" - 24 hours of sketch comedy from all over NY and the US.

The show will be November 9-10 (starting at 10pm on Friday, November 9).

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SUBMISSIONS!
Just follow the submission guidelines below if you and your sketch group want to be considered to be a part of the NY Comedy Festival and "The Longest Sketch Show Ever."

--Submissions packets should include everything you think makes your group look awesome (especially if we don't already know you). Press clips, reviews, pictures, video, website links - all of these are very useful.

--Submissions should be mailed to (or dropped off - Su-Th 12pm-9:30pm, F-Sa 12pm-6:30pm):

--Submissions should be postmarked on or before Wednesday, September 19. No submissions will be accepted after this date.

--Shows should consist of mostly live performance. Video is great too, but we'd like scheduled shows to focus on live performance. We also encourage you to use this opportunity to showcase your best material.

--Because of the nature of the show - set and tech needs should be minimal. Save your incredibly tech-heavy sketches for another show. All groups will have only a few minutes to set-up and take down their set and props, and tech rehearsal time will be limited.

--All shows will be performed at the UCB Theatre in NYC. Each show will run 30 or 45 minutes. Time slots and lengths will be assigned by UCBT. Please do not request specific timeslots.

WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR FUNNY VIDEO!
Throughout the show we'll also be showcasing funny videos we think are really great. If your group does not do live performances or you cannot make the trip to NYC, you can submit videos for consideration and take part in "The Longest Sketch Show Ever" that way. However, please be aware that these slots will be very competitive since the majority of the show will be live performance. If you'd like to submit videos, please follow these submission guidelines:

--In addition, you should include a DVD of the videos you'd like to be considered. Running length should be 20 minutes or less.

--You will be notified if we accept your video(s). By submitting you are giving us permission to play your videos during "The Longest Sketch Show Ever." Your videos will not be used for any other shows or in any other way without your express permission.

AND FINALLY!
If your sketch group would like to submit for both a live show and video that is totally fine (we may even accept both). However, YOU SHOULD SEND TWO SEPARATE SUBMISSIONS.
