Mercy Corps is an international relief and development organization that exists to alleviate suffering, poverty, and oppression by helping people build secure, productive, and just communities. Since 1979, Mercy Corps has provided more than $820 million in assistance in 80 nations. Over 90 percent of the agency’s resources are allocated directly to programs that help those in need.
As flood waters continue to inundate much of the U.S. Gulf Coast, Mercy Corps is partnering with Episcopal Relief and Development (ERD) to meet the immediate and longer-term needs of people displaced from their homes in coastal Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi. All contributions will go directly to fast, efficient relief and recovery programs.
The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre has been serving up its original and critically acclaimed style of long-form improvisation to New York City for over six years. In addition to A.S.S.S.S.C.A.T. and other improvised shows, there are several different comedic performances every night of the week, encompassing written sketch, one-person shows and stand-up. The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre also features New York’s largest comedy training program which has taught the performers Rob Corddry, Ed Helms, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel as well as many more talented up-and-coming young professionals.
