Improv 600 - Performance Workshop
In A World...
Taught by Shannon O'Neill
Learn to create a specific world and improvise within it. Get to know the neighbors, the town gossip and the dog catcher. Who keeps stealing the office supplies, why is the secretary always crying and find out what happened to the water cooler delivery man's face back in 1972. There are an infinite number of worlds to be created and explored. To help enhance scenes this course will take time to focus on a variety of techniques, such as split screens, object work, bending the space, time dash, and of course, we can't play in these worlds without game.
This class will perform at the theatre for 4 weeks.
If you are interested in taking this class, send an email to classes@ucbt.net with the subject "In A World...", by 5pm on Wednesday September 3rd. We will review the applicants and send a notice to those who have been accepted by Wednesday , September 10th.
