Four-Week On-Camera Legit Class for Film

Taught by Jodi Collins

This class is designed for all actors, who are ready or almost ready to audition and want to get a strong workout along with learning the smarts of the business. Each class will be geared to define your voice clearly and address the tv and film markets with the most ideal materials and set up. You will be given an overall understanding of the industry and what to expect on any audition. You will learn: To define your brand and ensure you give the most professional & most indelible clear impression To quickly give your unique voice & character to film & TV scripts To feel and look comfortable and professional on camera To use improvisation to enrich your performance

Prerequisite: Completion of Improv 301

Maximum class size is 12.

Intern Credit may not be used to pay for this class.

Jodi Collins offers you the opportunity to learn from a casting director who specializes in comedy and whose tone of work has ALWAYS required improviser and sketch performers be hired. She also casts for indie features, short films, animation and host needs. Most of her television work has been for Comedy Central, VH1, MTV, Nickelodeon, FX, E! Entertainment, A & E and the other cable networks. Her work includes The Chris Rock Show, Viva Variety, Strangers With Candy, The Daily Show With John Stewart, TV Funhouse etc., Currently running is The Big Gay Sketch Show 2nd season for Rosie O'Donnell directed by Scott King and the upcoming IFC new hybrid ½ scripted / ½ improvised series Z-Rock by one of the original Curb producers.
